He discovered all the workings of the Universe. He found the formula a few hours before sunrise in a small rectangular house on the Din’e reservation near one of the water tanks in between Tonolea and Red Lake. He burned it in a metal trash can with some kerosene & old newspapers & a book of matches from a casino in Reno, Nevada. He burned it as the Sun was coming up after he marveled at it in some low electrical light for a few hours. Attempting to breathe and stop smiling so much at what he had found. How could it be that it was all so simple? He couldn’t burn the idea but he hoped no one would be able to decipher it quite like he had. He danced around the flames of the fire in bare feet. Later he looked at his footprints in the shallow dust & thought they looked beautiful & like a sister to the formula he had discovered a very brief part of infinity before.
